Guide to Home Foot Spa Treatment

A Home foot spa treatment is one of the most unbelievably relaxing treats you can give yourself. Hydrotherapy involves applying focused pressure to specific known reflex points in the foot to relieve tension, increase blood flow and leave you feeling great.

Home Foot Spa Procedure

Start off by creating a relaxing environment. You can do this by playing soothing music and lighting some candles. This creates a feel-good environment for having a great time.

1. Soak Your Feet

Best Foot Spa Machine

We recommend using a professional foot spa. If you don’t have the budget for this, then a basin about 1.5 feet deep would suffice.

Step into a spa experience at home with this rejuvenating footbath that revitalizes and restores! Treat your tired feet to a massage session using a foot spa machine.

These are great because you’re able to control the water temperature and they come with great massage features for soothing the feet. Soak your feet in the spa for 10 to 20 minutes.

2. Scrub Your Feet and Legs

The next step is to scrub your feet and legs. You can do this using different products which we are going to list here;

How callus removal works

1. Callus Remover Gel: It works by increasing the amount of moisture in the skin and dissolving the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together

2. Foot Scrubbers: helps in eliminating and removing dead skin cells and calluses. These foot callus removers give you smoother and softer feet. They come in different shapes and designs.

3. Electric Callus remover: These run either on batteries or electricity. They can work quickly and effortlessly to remove larger, thicker, and tougher calluses.

We recommend using Epsom salt in the water with a mixture of apple cider vinegar. This combination of great for treating smelly feet, foot fungus, and many other foot problems. Epsom salt specifically detoxifies and relaxes the muscles in your feet.

4. Tree Hub scrub: You can also use Tree hub scrub for removing all the dead and dry skin. Pure sugar gently exfoliates dry, thick skin to a silky-like perfection.

4. Trim the Nails & Cuticles

The next step is to apply cuticle softener and remover on both feet and soak in the foot spa tub again for 5 minutes.

Slowly push back the cuticles and with a diamond tip in our drill, we separate and remove the cuticles from the toenails.

Remove the cuticle residue with a nail brush and trim off any other left cuticles. Polish the toenails with a medium buffer and then soak them again in water for 3 to 5 minutes

5. Moisturize the feet and legs

1. Apply foot Cream: After soaking your feet, dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes. Apply foot cream; these are thicker than other moisturizers and often have tea tree oil or peppermint as an ingredient, which has antiseptic qualities and can keep odor and infection at bay.

Take your time to massage your feet and toes while applying the cream. When your feet are positively tingling with relaxation, pat off the excess oil. Since with a foot massage the oil will get everywhere, and because feet don’t like too much moisture, it can be a good idea to gently wash feet after a massage and apply just a little foot moisturizer to the soles after drying them with a warm, thick towel.

2. Use Moisturizing Socks: For better results, use these socks after applying your foot cream. The socks hydrate and soften hard dry, rough feet, winter dry skin, calluses, heels, toes, and cuticles.Wear for at least 20 minutes, at least 2-3 times per week.
